"The
Event will be called - Calling All Nations: A Global
Gathering, because we truly want it to be a global
gathering of young Christian people and the young at heart.
I
love the scripture that talks about every tribe and tongue
and people and nation being gathered together and that’s
what it’s going to be like in the age to come.
Our
prayer is that this gathering will be a little taste of
heaven on earth, and for those who are unsaved who come
along, that they will taste something that will change their
lives forever." Noel Richards - event organizer,
singer and songwriter

· Herrnhut
or Herrnhut Area
This
morning we'll have the privilege of worshipping with local believers.
Leaving Berlin we drive to Herrnhut on the border of Germany and
the Czech Republic where Count Ludwig von Zinzendorf allowed a
small group of religious refugees from Moravia to settle on his
land in 1722. The spiritual heritage of these people includes
the “Bohemian Brethren,” who, like Jan Hus, proclaimed
a strictly Bible-based faith, which brought them into conflict
with church and state. As more and more refugees flowed into the
land, a village was born named Herrnhut, meaning, The Lord’s
Watch. It was in Herrnhut that the assembly of Brothers and Sisters
gathered in the remarkable “100 Year Prayer Meeting,”
out of which the modern missionary movement was born. Click
here to read more about this fascinating story. B/D

· Prague
We take time this morning to pray at the Prayer Tower and to learn
more about the missionary movement and history that was launched
here. Then we continue on to Prague
where a local guide will take us on a city tour including St.
Vitus Cathedral, Charles Bridge, Wenceslaus Square, the Old Jewish
Quarter and the famous Astronomical Clock. B/D
Tuesday,
July 18, 2006 · Prague
A
local Pastor and members of his church have arranged today’s
activities. We will learn about the life of John Hus and be inspired
by the power of his words. We'll visit Týn church which
has always played a major role in the history of the Reformation
in Bohemia and was the most important church of the Hussites in
the 16th century. We'll also spend time in Bethlehem Chapel, which
was originally a Gothic chapel dating from 1391. This chapel was
where Jan Hus preached from 1402 to 1412, to crowds of more than
3,000 with standing room only! This is a unique opportunity to
learn about his epic struggle eventually resulted in his death
at the stake in 1415. B

Today we drive to Leipzig
where our city tour will include St. Thomas Church, whose most
celebrated choir master and organist was Johann Sebastian Bach.

held the Peace Prayer services that became demonstrations leading,
in September 1989, to the fall of the Berlin Wall. B/D
Thursday, July 20, 2006 · Leipzig
Today’s excursions take us to Eisenach and Erfurt. Eisenach
is the site of the Wartburg Castle. It was here that
Martin Luther, disguised as Junker George, was in hiding and where
he translated the New Testament into German, allowing the people
to read the Word themselves. We then continue on to Erfurt,
where Luther entered the University and where he later became
a monk. We will tour the Augustinian Monastery where he lived
and have a time of fellowship there. We have a short city tour
of Erfurt before returning to Leipzig. B

This morning we drive to Wittenberg,
the center of Luther's Reformation activity. It was here he placed
the 95 Theses on the door of the Schloßkirche, or Castle
Church, in 1517. Luther taught at the University of Wittenberg
and is buried in the Castle Church. We see the statues of Luther
and Melanchthon in the village square. We continue on to Berlin
for our final night. B/D
